Where to start?

It starts with a written Fire Management Plan. We’ll begin with a site visit to meet with you and walk the property to discuss opportunities, goals, and objectives. Some examples may include dividing the unit into manageable areas, creative fuel breaks that may also serve as wildlife food plots, defining a multi-year prescribed burn plan, changing a timber type over time, or establishing new land cover types. Once your objectives are established and prioritized, we can formalize the Fire Management Plan, utilizing the newest digital fire and land management mapping tools to closely examine what your property needs and historically wants to be.

It takes money, and we completely understand the cost of land and fire management. It’s not practical to make project recommendations if there’s no budget to pay for it. We’re familiar with agency and conservation group cost-share programs and grant opportunities. Our management plans directly address those in order to align with application processes. We’ll handle the grant application writing and actively pursue cost-share processes on your behalf.

Once a plan is in place, it’s time to start the work. We’re able to provide the equipment and labor to get things done, from prescribed burning to mechanical and chemical fuel treatments, assist you in obtaining local contractors, or set you up to complete the work yourself. Our end goal is to create a proactive and thriving site with sustainable active management.

Allow us to set you up for success.
